Thailand is one of the leading producers and exporters of rubber in the world market along with Indonesia and Malaysia. As the Thai economy continues to develop, R&D and technology become increasingly more important.Additionaly, due to the growing number of rubber plantations, the use of rubber in manufacturing and export of finished products to the world market is on the increase, and as competition from countries with lower wages grows Thailand must refocus its role as a manufacturing centre based on its own technology. In order to maintain its position in the market, Thailand needs to promote a one-stop service in the polymer field covering both upstream and downstream products. It is to explore this scenario that RubberPlas 2009 : The Current Global Situation is being organised on July 1 st – 4 th, 2009 at Impact Convention & Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
RubberPlas 2009 will present current information and expertise in rubber technology and innovation to participants from government and private sectors. One of the primary purposes of the conference & Exhibition is to exchange ideas between industry people as well as researchers, interested partys and foreign experts in the field. The focus will be on new trends in research and development in the field of rubber & plastics and related materials. Another purpose is to promote activities in new technologically-driven businesses in the polymer field by providing scientific, engineering and business expertise.
